Just two days after Team Sky’s domination of the Cancer Council Classic, 2008 Tour Down Under champion Andre Greipel of HTC-Columbia showed his intentions for this season by winning stage 1 and thereby earning the Santos Tour Down Under leaders jersey.

Countdown to 2010 Santos Tour Down Under
The strongest ever field of cyclists, a brilliant calendar of parties and a massive public bike ride will make this year’s Santos Tour Down Under the best ever. That’s the view of Tourism Minister Jane Lomax-Smith who today joined with Tour Director Mike Turtur and South Australian competitor Jack Bobridge at the Adelaide City Council Tour Village in Victoria Square to preview the 2010 event.
