MARAIS AND SLOAN TAKE NO PRISONERS AT TOTALSPORTS XTERRA KNYSNA
PEZULA Private Estate’s Field of Dreams was the equivalent of a battle field on Thursday, 12 July 2012 when just under 800 eager XTERRA warriors toed the line to take on the fast paced TOTALSPORTS XTERRA Knysna presented by REHIDRAT® SPORT. Stuart Marais and Susan Sloan were the victors in the individual men’s and women’s races respectively.

Nico Pfitzenmaier. Man on the Move.
Nico Pfitzenmaier is an interesting fellow. This is confirmed when I meet with the lean German rider in the Robert Daniel gazebo after stage 2 of the 2012 ABSA Cape Epic. While most riders are downing protein shakes and refueling with sports nutrition products, Pfitzenmaier is eating a meal resembling raw vegetables and a form of rice, which he later explains is a highly nutritious seed.

ROBERT DANIEL MOMSEN TEAM FAVOURITE IN 2012 ABSA CAPE EPIC TELKOM BUSINESS MASTERS CATEGORY
Firm favourites in the Telkom Business Masters category at this year’s Absa Cape Epic, which takes place from 25 March to 01 April, will include Robert Sim (45) from South Africa and Nico Pfitzenmaier (40) from Germany. The Robert Daniel Momsen team is ready to take on the challenging 781km and 16 300m of climbing, which again ends at its traditional Lourensford Wine Estate.

24 hrs of Wiesenhof race report
The last time I raced a 24 hr race was about 9 years ago in George. Although my team won that race, how could I forget the pain of waking up in the middle of the night to relieve your equally broken teammate. So, 9 years down the line and 9 years less of a racing snake saw me suffering through the laps but enjoying every minute of it. A big thanks to the Dirtopia team for hosting a great event.
