A longtime neighborhood resident has gotten so frustrated by sidewalks packed with parked bicycles that he has actually begun injecting Krazy Glue into locks as a form of vigilante injustice.
The renegade — whose name has been concealed because of the sensitive nature of this story — has committed the crime a few times, but told us last week that there are plans to broaden the sticky situation.
Potgieter triumphs over the sprinters in tough and windy conditions

Bradley Potgieter (MTN-Energade), who won the Carousel Classic on Monday (9 August), can vouch for that.
2010 certainly did not start out well for the young rider. On 5 February, when he was on his way to join his team-mates for a training session, he was involved in a motor car accident.
Armstrong withdraws from Leadville 100

The American opted out of the 100-mile long mountain bike race citing the after-effects of his troubled Tour de France. Last season, he rode and won the event before going on to ride the Tour of Ireland. His participation in the event in 2008 marked his comeback to professional racing.
LED bicycle tyres coming soon – super cool

A new bike tyre that uses LED technology to create a ring of light and which has been likened to something out of the sci-fi movie Tron promises to provide cyclists with “a unique and unprecedented safety measure.”
Mark Renshaw extends contract with HTC-Columbia

Renshaw, a world class sprinter, has become known as the best lead out guy in the peloton over the past two years, and had been pivotal in a number of Mark Cavendish’s wins.
Burry Stander gets Bronze at UCI Marathon World Champs

It was an incredibly tight race with the top six men finishing within 10 seconds of each other. South African Burry Stander had a phenomenal race taking home the bronze medal, just 6 seconds behind the winner, Alban Lakata. Italian Mirko Celestino was second.
Lance Armstrong to defend his Leadville 100 title next weekend

Armstrong is the defending champion having won last years race in a record winning time of 6 hours, 28 minutes, 50 seconds.
