Olympian, Richard Murray will be seen enjoying the start of his off season by taking part in the inaugural Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails on Friday, 29 November 2013 and Saturday, 30 November 2013.

The Pennypinchers Origin Of Trails is a mountain-bikers’ dream come true, combining a vast network of world class trails with beauty and exclusivity.  Riders can look forward to experiencing a spectacular combination of single-track that to date has been unknown to the mountain biking community of Stellenbosch.

“I am looking forward to having some good clean fun and supporting the event,’ says Murray.  “When it comes to Stellenbosch and mountain-biking I think of single track, silence, mountains and some of the best mountain biking in South Africa, not to mention the amazing coffee shops and company along the way.  It’ll be the start of my off season, so taking it easy will be very important for me.  My racing season is from February till October, and this year has been a very long one for me.  I do love my mountain-biking and hitting the trails, so I’m very grateful for the chance to tear it up.  Trail building in Stellenbosch has grown so much over the past few years.  I am really looking forward to riding the new trails and am sure that it will be an experience that I’ll never forget.  Stellenbosch has such good trails and I think everyone should experience it.  I’m going to see if I can get some friends to take part and have a social.  Hopefully there’ll be a section at G-Spot where they time the fastest person down it,” laughs Murray.
