Happy Friday – Nikki Harris

Nikki Harris , born 30 December 1986, is an English cyclist from Draycott, Derbyshire who rides for the AVB Cyclo cross team. She began cycling at five and has won many championships across various disciplines.

Nikki started off racing with Cyclocross which then progressed to MTB racing, Within just a couple of years she had ridden for Great Britain at the youth Commonwealth games, the European and World MTB championships. In 2005 Nikki started track cycling  and competed in 2 Elite World and European championships, various world cups and the 2006 Commonwealth games in Australia.

After a couple of years on the track, Nikki returned to cyclocross. In 2008 she did here first cyclocross season based in Belgium. It went very well and  she was  selected to take part in the 2009 world championships in Holland where she finished a respectable 14th place after just a few months back in the sport.
