Happy Friday – Emily Batty

Emily Batty, born June 16, 1988 grew up one of four children on a farm in Ontario, Canada. All four have gone on to successful cycling careers. Emily burst onto the National and World scene in 2007 when she finished 1st at the Canadian National Mountain Bike Championships, and 1st overall in the Canada Cup Series. A top 10 finish at the 2008 U23 World Championships confirmed that she is one of the fastest rising stars in the sport.

2009: 1st Under 23 MTB Pan American games
2009: 4th US ProXCT #1 and Kenda Cup West #2 in Fontana
2009: 1st Elite women Sea Otter Classic Mountain Bike Short Track
1st 3x Under 23 MTB World Cup
2009: 11th U-23 MTB World Championships, Canberra
7x Canadian National Champion

It would appear that grammar and spelling go out of the window when you have a hard on.
