Greg Minnaar finishes 2nd in final DH World Cup and World Cup overall

The final of the DH World Cup series came to an exciting end on Monday in Windham, NY. After suffering a bad crash in practice on the weekend, South African Greg Minnaar bounced back and put together a great run. However it was not good enough and he had to settle for 2nd place behind the inform Gee Atherton. Sam Hill, who has been off his bike since the Fort William round with an injury had a great run finishing 13th. Respect.

Its amazing to think the after a season of racing, the overall World Cup title had been won by less than half a second. Gee and Greg must be the favourites for the World Champs this coming weekend but if I was a betting man my money would be on Greg. Go South Africa.
