Lance Armstrong, the seven-time Tour de France winner, will not compete in a New Zealand triathlon next month because of a sore left knee. Armstrong had planned to compete in a sprint triathlon, but in a phone interview he said the knee condition had forced him to stop his training runs.
South Africa’s Robbie Hunter and veteran Australian sprinter Robbie McEwen have signed to race for seven-time Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong’s RadioShack team in 2011, it was revealed on Thursday.
Both men were part of the Pegasus Sports project which failed to get a ProTour licence for the new season and they opted to change teams.
With the likes of Liz Hatch, Veronica Andreasson, Rochelle Gilmore and Vicki Whitelaw, team Lotto Honda must be the best looking woman’s cycling team out there.
Cadel Evans will not ride in his home ProTour event, the Tour Down Under, which takes place next month in South Australia. He is reportedly going to focus all his energies on winning an elusive Tour de France title. Team BMC’s 2011 lineup will be headed by 2008 world champion Alessandro Ballan of Italy and includes riders from six countries.

I am going to start off this review by saying that the GORE Ride On Cable upgrade has been the best upgrade I have done to my bike. In a close second I would put my tubeless tyre conversion. These cables have a hefty price tag, roughly R750 but you will make your money back very quickly after you would have replaced your usual cables for the umpteenth time.
Next year MTN-Qhubeka will have a somewhat different name but their goal will remain the same.
For the riders in yellow it does not matter whether they race on tar or on dirt or even fly over jumps during BMX-races. Their goal will always be to do the best they can.
