Capetonian Andrew Neethling (Trek World Racing) won the Elite Mens DH race at the US Open of Mountain Biking that took place on the US Memorial Day holiday, this past weekend at the Diablo Freeride Park in Vernon, New Jersey. Over 500 professional and amateur athletes participated in the eighth running of this event making it a siginificant win for Andrew.

Emily Batty, born June 16, 1988 grew up one of four children on a farm in Ontario, Canada. All four have gone on to successful cycling careers. Emily burst onto the National and World scene in 2007 when she finished 1st at the Canadian National Mountain Bike Championships, and 1st overall in the Canada Cup Series.
