A weekend of riding at Delvera is a weekend well spent! It’s got it all… jump track, north shore and some challenging trails. We took our jump bikes out for some fun.

Amarider had a movie night last night featuring the awesome new Kranked video Revolve. They also presented the awards from the recent Amarider 100 miler, supposedly the toughest MTB race of 2009. Kudo’s to the 99 people who completed the 100 mile race in aweful looking conditions but the highlight of the evening was definetly the screening of Kranked rather than the prize giving.

Double the pain, Double the glory…. Double Century time this weekend! For those riding, maybe you should take one last look at this race profile below… yes, its real, we are not messing with you. That is one particularly large peak to get over at about 60km, followed by two mini twin peaks toward the end… other than that you got nothing to worry about… hehe! Just 202km of pure joy!

Lance is on his way to Cape Town! And no, before you ask… it doesn’t seem like its to ride the Cape Epic. Lance Armstrong is due to visit Cape Town in March next year in support of the JAG Foundation.

It’s the weekend baby! And what better way to celebrate the start of the weekend than with a little cycling daydreaming… Not a bad group to be stuck behind?! The Sloggi billboard ads are right up there with Teazers and Sexpo billboards in terms of sleazy, guilty appeal. Havn’t spotted this one in SA yet but there is a new Sloggi billboard in Cape Town on the M5 going towards the Koeberg interchange thats also tends to grab your attention… don’t know whether to thank Sloggi or curse them for slowing down traffic even more on one of the worst intersections in Cape Town! So to avoid the traffic chaos how about swinging past the UCT jump track for a bit of good, clean fun…
